A Life of Storytelling and Creativity

My name is Vanessa Valenzuela. I have been doodling and creating stories since I could hold a pen. My creativity and passion for story drive me to create works that I can be proud of. I have been a fan of cartoons and animation since I was a child. As a baby, I took my first steps to walk over and hug Blue from Blues Clues on the television screen.  Growing up, I always looked forward to coming home watching new episodes of Adventure Time or Sembionic Titian. When I was young, I was known as the quiet kid who would doodle in class and create small comics about different stories I had in my head. When I was in high school, I saw Steven Universe for the first time. Seeing Rebecca Sugar become the first woman to have her own show produced gave me the courage to pursue my dreams. I plan to work as hard as I can to create fun, meaningful, and inspiring content.
